Glogster

Wow!! I really enjoyed looking through this site, it was so much fun! It is a great website that allows for interactive learning and creating presentations.   Students can create different posters which can include videos, images, text and audio. Students can be motivated and engaged in the learning, and the site is also very safe. Glogster also facilitates collaborations and is extremely user-friendly site. Students can share ideas, agree or disagree, and provide feedback. I would like to implement this tool and use it with my students in the future, where students can use to create and present a project!

Teachers try to engage, motivate and differentiate instruction to help students succeed in school. Many of these tools allow students to collaborate, communicate, and create content. Voice thread is one of these educational technological tool, it is an interactive slideshow which allows students to participate in conversations involving images, videos, and documents. A feature that I really like from voice thread, is that students can add to the thread, it can enhance literacy skills. It can be used for any grade level, any group setting, small and large groups, and all types of students, including at risk, special needs, and gifted. It can also be used across all subject areas and any type of class, general ed,...

Keystone implementation report

1.     Outcomes of the implementation: student learning outcomes and technical procedure outcomes The students were able to understand the lesson of sequencing of events. Sora Ilowitz Dr. Hsu Reflection on new literacies Educators in the 21 st century need to utilize technology in their classroom, since children today are born as digital natives. Teachers should use technology to aid student cognitive learning and apply it for collaboration and exchange of ideas. It is essential that we give our students the necessary foundational skills for the future. When planning a lesson, a teacher has to make sure to include technology. There are endless amount of opportunities and ways that teachers can incorporate technology in their lessons, it keeps the student engaged, motivated, and makes the lesson relevant to them. For example, students can use google earth, google maps when they are learning geography or Social Studies. Students can create a PowerPoint to present to the class, about a subject they have been learning. With the abundances of new literacies, teachers can reach out to students with Google docs, blog, Edmodo, etc. These technologi...
